2010 Acura TL A-Spec. For the second time in history, Acura Canada offer their customers a new limited edition package that sold on May 10, 2010 Acura TL for 2010 began. The first time was this package being offered in the TL Type S is a cosmetic redesign in 2003 gave a similar A-spec package. Acura, Honda’s luxury brand, the new TL A-Spec package with a price of C $ 51,290.

The main feature of the new A-Spec package is the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), trim all the features of the TL SH-AWD Technology Package includes. Either a 6-speed gearbox or a five-speed automatic transmissions are NAT.

Compared with a standard TL model, the A-Spec Package: 19-inch alloy wheels adds special summer performance tires and the aerodynamics kit full skirt package with front, side and rear. The front and rear of the cars are finished in a chrome grille and rear piece midnight. The last bit of the flair, the “A-Spec badge and” A-Spec “floor mats.

No mention of the number of packets that must be made Acura TL A-spec, but if they take the form of the Canadian A-spec back in ’03 would follow established in about 800 units to offer.

As to the first group has not changed in the four-cylinder TSX for the year 2010. It is still the happy front-drive, is near luxury sedan, it’s always been. For the power-hungry bunch, the 2010 Acura TSX-V-PS-6 is the deficit in terms of sales ease in July. By slipping into the same 3.5-liter V-6 from the base TL on the TSX to 280 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque matched Acura is the smallest four-door sport sedan in a very fast, even if it is only a paddle-shifted five-speed automatic transmission.

Although the engine and 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD Manual of this car were the same as on past testers, the performance we measured this time was anything but similar. Snicking off our own gearchanges liberated 0.8 second from the 0-to-60-mph time (5.2 seconds versus 6.0) and cleaved a full second from the quarter-mile, and we gathered an extra 4 mph on the way, for a 13.8-second pass at 101 mph.

The manual is a little lighter overall than the automatic (72 pounds), but this doesn’t much affect the TL’s fundamental dynamic balance. Skidpad grip drops some, to 0.88, from the 0.92 g we’ve reported in previous tests, but that’s the result of downgrading from the summer-only Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s on previous cars to Pilot HX MXM4s on this one. Paired with either tire, the torque-vectoring SH-AWD makes it feel from the driver’s seat as if the outside rear wheel were growing in proportion to cornering forces, helping push the car through the curve and mitigating understeer

As with the six-speed automatic, Acura has been somewhat slow to adopt advanced driver aids such as active cruise control, blind-spot detection, and automatic collision-mitigation braking to the MDX. But all the above debuts on the 2010 model as part of the aforementioned Advance package, along with the larger wheels, climate-controlled seats, and upgraded leather upholstery. Although our brief stint didn’t allow much time to explore the safety stuff, we’re told it operates similarly to competitive systems.

An optional multiview reverse camera with normal, wide-angle, and top-down views is new, and it displays through the eight-inch infotainment screen. The latter view will undoubtedly aid in accurately lining up a trailer with its straight-down look at the rear bumper, but prepare to jump to the Technology package to get it: Settling for the base model means you get a single-view reverse camera with a display integrated into the rearview mirror.

The Acura ZDX is endearingly weird, the sort of vehicle you might expect Citroën to produce, were it still doing business in America and hoping to slake our countrymen’s thirst for an all-in-one crossover/sports coupe/sedan/SUV. What the ZDX is not, philosophically, is a Honda.

It’s a low-stress machine. Though it feeds an ample 300 horsepower from its 3.7-liter V-6 through Acura’s new six-speed automatic transmission and its torque-shuffling SH-AWD system, the ZDX’s dials are angled toward luxury rather than sport. True, it does have an optional sport mode (part of the Advance package), which livens up steering effort and damper response. But there remains a tendency for the ZDX to worry itself around corners, not providing the steering feedback and off-center torque buildup you get in the MDX. The brakes are easy to predict, though, and the vehicle stays composed through hard bends and over broken roads, thanks to the Advance pack’s magneto­rheological adaptive dampers.

The ZDX’s exterior is deeply alluring and reconciles, finally, Acura’s new “shogun warrior” styling theme. Its long panoramic glass roof terminates in a transom window set between the ZDX’s ultra-wide, sculpted hips. The interior, though difficult to access through the rear doors, is roomy and filled with high-quality touches—loop carpet, a strut-equipped cargo-bin lid, and leather that feels like it slid off a side of Wagyu beef.
